Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
HuntDesk (“HuntDesk”, “we”, “us”) is a platform for hunting and safari outfitters and a free field app for hunters, operated by Cinastage Studios / Bloomworks. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, across both the outfitter dashboard and the HuntDesk hunter app. Questions? Email huntdesk.tech@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, business name, email address and a password you choose when you sign up.
- Business data you enter — clients, enquiries, quotes, invoices, bookings, contracts and photos you add to run your outfit.
- Location data (hunter app) — your device’s precise location, only while you have location sharing turned on for a hunt. See “Location and the hunter app” below.
- Camera and photos (hunter app) — the blood-tracking tool processes the camera feed on your device to highlight sign; photos you choose to save or add to your profile, buddies or hunts.
- Buddy and hunt content — your profile, trophies, comments and the hunts and camps you take part in, shared with the buddies you connect with.
- Billing information — handled by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy). We never see or store your card details.
- Google account data — only if you choose to connect Google (see below).
- Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the app is used, to keep it reliable.
Location and the hunter app
The free HuntDesk hunter app can share your location so the hunting party you are with (“your camp”) can see where each other is, and so the app can record the route you walk on the map. This is how we use location:
- Only while sharing is on. Location is collected only when you turn sharing on for a hunt. You can turn it off at any time, and it stops.
- Foreground use — showing your live position to your camp and drawing your route while you have the app open.
- Background use — if you allow it, the app keeps recording your route and updating your position for your camp while a hunt is active even when the screen is off or the app is in the background, because a hunt happens with the phone in your pocket. A hunt has a clear start and end, and background location stops when the hunt ends or you turn sharing off.
- Who sees it — your live position is shared only with the members of the specific hunt you joined. It is not public and is not shared with other outfitters or with advertisers.
- Retention — a recorded route is saved to your account so you can keep it with that hunt. You can delete a saved route, and deleting your account removes it.
We never sell location data and never use it for advertising. On the outfitter dashboard, location is not collected.
How we use Google user data
Connecting your Google account is entirely optional. If you connect it, you grant HuntDesk these permissions, used strictly for the features you turn on:
- Google Calendar (calendar.events) — to add, update and remove your HuntDesk bookings on your Google Calendar so your calendar stays in sync.
- Send email (gmail.send) — to send emails to your clients from your own address when you choose to.
- Email address (userinfo.email) — to show which Google account is connected.
We request the minimum access needed. We do not read your inbox. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which revokes our access.
Limited Use disclosure
HuntDesk’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data obtained from Google is used only to provide and improve the features you enable, is never sold, is never used for advertising, and is never shared with third parties except as needed to provide those features, to comply with law, or with your consent. No humans read your Google data except where required for security, to comply with law, or with your explicit permission.
How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored on secure, access-controlled infrastructure (Vercel and Vercel Blob). Each outfitter’s data is isolated from every other outfitter’s. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to perform the actions above. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of storage is ever 100% secure.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. In the hunter app, the content and live position you choose to share are shown to the buddies and camp members you connect with, as described above. Beyond that, we share data only with the service providers that make HuntDesk work — hosting (Vercel), payments (Lemon Squeezy), email delivery (Resend) and, where you enable it, Google — and only to the extent needed to provide the service, or where required by law.
Your choices
- Disconnect Google at any time from Settings (this revokes our access).
- Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing huntdesk.tech@gmail.com.
- Cancel your subscription at any time; your data is removed on request after cancellation.
Changes
We may update this policy as HuntDesk evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
